Event Details

Startup Weekend is an intense 54 hour event that brings together a vast array of entrpreneurs, technologists, marketing, PR... as well as artists, visionaries, and other wild cards. 100-200 people in a room with time and resources to make something happen is a fantastic opportunity to pursue the idea you've kept in your back pocket.

Please join us for an open forum prior to Startup Weekend LA3 on Nov 20-22 where Startup Weekend veterans address common questions attendees have about what works, what issues teams face, and where you take it after the weekend is over.

This is an amazing value to those who attend and on top of it, its FREE! This is the best way to get the most out of a Startup Weekend and be one step ahead of the pack and on your way to starting the next big thing!

In this webinar we will cover...

  • What's different this year?
  • What types of ideas and pitches get selected on Friday night?
  • How much do I have to have prepared in order to pitch?
  • What do we need to have ready for the Sunday demo?
  • What if I don't get any developers on my team?
  • What if I don't get any bus dev, sales or marketing people on my team?
  • What do I do if my team is fighting?
  • Can I change teams?
  • Who owns the work? How do we handle intellectual property and legal?
  • Will my idea still be fundable if we get it started at Startup Weekend?
  • Will there be any mentors and/or guides to help us get off the ground?

Your coaches will be...

Keith Bussell is a veteran of SWLA2. His idea for CheapEats was selected by attendees and successfully made it to demo and beyond... In real life he is the Director of Software Engineering for TrueCar.

Sean Turneris a veteran of SWLA2. His idea for Craigee was selected by attendees and as far as we know, Craigslist has not caught him yet. Sean is part of the USC Entrepreneurship club and interning with Microsoft.

The panel will be moderated by Marc Nager, organizer for Startup Weekend.Be sure to also register for the actual Startup Weekend Event Nov. 20-22 HERE using the discount code "sw20" for a 20% discount!
